Advantages of Summer

I am sure that you know this feeling. You have been waiting for the sun all year long, and once it's there, you disgust it. You hate the fact that you can't do anything without sweating, you don't like the constant sun in your eyes when you're driving, walking or just laying around. It could be just me - but I feel like many other people share my feelings.
That is the reason why I created a list of advantages of the summer. Yes - trust me - they do exist! Read on if you'd like to know some things which are enjoyable. At least, when you're in a good mood.

The question which we get asked so many, many times, is where our name comes from. Do we like grapefruits? Do we like fridays? Is it spontaneous? Does it stand for something unknown? Read on if you'd like to know where our name comes from!

Droplets of Colour

Some time ago, we decided we needed a 'promotion video'. A video which decribed our channel perfectly, which would persuade people to watch more of our videos. That was the day on which we decided it would be cool to drop some colour into wine glasses filled with water, film this, throw balloons on the ground, film this, and somehow - somehow make this into a 'cool' video. We grabbed our shoes, went for a walk and started. This is a video which took the longest to film - a DIY never took us so long - but is the shortest to show. A video which took me, the editor, hours and hours of frustration to edit, because I never thought it was perfect. We uploaded this video a while ago, but we still wanted to post an update about it - because we think it described us perfectly.

Back To School: Decorating Notebooks!

Hello everybody! It's Friday, which means you will be able to view a new Grapefruitfriday video (most of the time). Summer is here and we don't want to think about school yet, but it is unevitably - we will have to go back one day. Most of the people do not see school as a rather enjoyable thing, but one thing which makes us, personally, enjoy school more, is cuteness. Cute notebooks, lovely diaries and colourful pens. Summer!

Hello everybody!
The temperatures are rising, and so is our mood! We love the summer! One negative thing about summer: you have to start thinking about school again. What will you be wearing, how are you going to style your hair? That is why we made this rather simple video, showing you 5 super easy hairstyles. Watch out: they are super easy, so don't expect something supercool or extremely hard to understand - everybody will be able to do this. That is one of the reasons, why we kept it so simple. 'Be yourself'

When we posted this video on YouTube, many people were wondering what the purpose of this was. We can tell you, what we wanted to accomplish with this video.
When we started doing this, we wanted to show you many different hairstyles. We wanted to portray as many different styles as possible. When we were doing this, we got a much better idea. We thought we might show you, you should be yourself! We showed as many different looks as possible, trying to tell you that everything is OK - no matter what you look like!

Room decoration

Your room. It is a place where you are very often, but it is also the place which is often a mess. Your room should be your safe haven, the place where you can take a rest, the place where you can hide when the world is a little bit too much. All those elements make your room a rather important place, and you would like this place to be cozy, cool and comforting. That is why we decided to make a video, showing you how to decorate your room - or at least, we are trying to give you some tips. It is a rather old video, but we still like sharing it with you guys.

Oreo cupcakes

In our previous post, we showed you how to make Nutella cookies with M&Ms. They were delicious, extremely delicious, but another delicious thing we made not so long ago, is this. We decided to make cupcakes, but we decided to add one delicious element to our recipe: Oreos. I can hear your thoughts - everybody loves Oreos. And I am not lying when I say everybody. That is one of the reasons why we decided to combine those two delicious ingredients, creating another delicious thing: cookies. This is the video it all started with. We got bored one day, and decided to film how to 'design your own shirt'. We made a South Park/Pink Floyd and a Foo Fighters one, and we were really proud of our accomplishment.
