Lookbook inspiration #2

I can scroll through sites like Lookbook.nu for ages, with a large mug of tea, some cookies and my onesie. I love looking at outfits, combinations, colours - getting inspired and seeing what's hot. I have selected some of the loveliest photographs - some because the outfit is gorgeous, some because the photograph is magnificent (I'm a sucker for lovely sunsets, blurred backgrounds and detail). I hope you enjoy looking at the outfits!

The photographs and outfit may look rather simple, but it is the detail that creates this outfit. I don't like the shoes at all (I think white Converse would've completed this outfit, but that is my opinion) but I love how she used a blouse as a skirt. So creative, innovative, DIY-proof! It is to simple to film for a Grapefruitfriday video, but I love the idea. Her ombre-hair is perfect too - I love the beachy California waves. The simple shirt which fits the small bag perfectly completes this simple, yet stylish and creative outfit.

This is the kind of photograph I was talking about in my intro. The yellow/mellow colour, in combination with the relaxed girl with the big sunglasses with a casual sweater makes this photograph perfect. It would be perfect in a lifestyle/relax/fashion magazine (if such thing exists). I love it.

What a lovely skirt! The colour, the length, the 'flow'.. I love it! (Am I the only one who thinks this girl looks like Michelle Phan?!)

I love this Rock and Roll, grungy, black but not black outfit. The shoes, the jumpsuit combined with the blouse.. perfect! I love the John Lennon-style sunglasses too (which we saw before) - amazing.

The dress. Oh my god, how I love it. The simplicity! And a cat! If I had it, I would wear it week after week after week. I love it. Another thing I love about this photograph is the girl's tattoos. I adore tattoos, especially when they have a deeper meaning. It shows your creativity. Skin is boring.

Another yellow skirt! This one not so flowy as the first one, but this doesn't make the skirt boring or less 'wow'. I love how the girl put a simple shirt, simple skirt and not so simple shoes together, creating a fashionable, perfect outfit.

White Converse. They are so simple, yet so stylish - they fit every outfit, including this one. I wanted to share this because I love the white-black combination, and the photograph is perfect too - so linear, perfect.

This is the best photograph (actually, it's a collage) of this Lookbook inspiration. The outfit, the colours, the photographs.. it makes me want to go outside and drink lemonade and listen to relaxing music (I would, if it wasn't raining outside). I love this skirt! It is huge. The colours are perfect. I would definetely wear this.

The last photograph of this lookbook inspiration is a photograph with an outfit I would definetely wear. I love the white shoes (combined with the black tights!) and the simplicity of her hair (combined with that perfect eyeliner of hers) completes the school/secretary-like look. The photographs are so symmetrical - perfect. Outfits and photographs like these make me happy.

Natura Siberica Scrub

May I introduce you to the best face scrub ever? I have been searching for a good face scrub literally for years and now I have finally found it! Are you getting curious...?

The face scrub is from a brand called 'Natura Siberica.' First of all, I want to tell you something about this brand. A time ago, Natura Siberica origanized expeditions to the far ranges of South-Eastern Siberia. They did this for a reason, the reason was the fact that they wanted to explore new things, talk to the local people about recipes they use for face/hair care and over all learn from the nature. The explorers came back with a lot of new knowledge. This knowledge is used in their products and that's what makes this brand special. It's not just an ordinary brand, no, it's a brand with experience. That's what makes a lot of the natura siberica products 'Best Green Cosmetics' products.
Now let's talk about the face scub. This face scrub consist of a 99% natural formula. The face scrub is really gentle and it's based on sophora japonicam, arctic raspberry seeds and bisabolol. Those are all natural products from Siberia. The face scrub smells really nice and natural. I dislike face scrubs and fase washes with a really harsh smell, so this is perfect. The face scrub renews and restores the skin. Furthermore, it enriches the nutrientstand and improves cellular respiration. This all results in a smooth and elastic skin which I can guarantee 100% .
The scrub has a light brownish colour and you can see and feel the little particles in the scrub. When you apply it to your face it feels really nice. Some scrubs tend to be not so gentle to your skin due to the big particles but this one isn't. This scrub also comes in handy if you have a sensitive skin. I tend to break out from a lot of face products but due to the leak of artifical things in the scrub my face reacts very well to it.
If you are intrested in this scrub, don't worry about the price being too high. This scrub costs only 3.50 LVL which is around the 8 dollar and around 5 euros.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my article! What is your favorite face srub?
I never go for high-end products, I always think that there are cheaper and better options. Well, I actually lied, if it comes to phones, I just can't stop myself from buying an expensive one with functions I don't even need! It's crazy, right, but like I said, somehow, I can't stop myself.
Today I want to review my phone! I have a Samsung Galaxy S4.

A month ago I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4. I needed a new phone and I wanted to try a different brand (I had a Sony phone before), so the S4 seemed perfect to me. I have to admit it, if it comes to phones I don't search for too long. I usually go for the first option. So, after watching one review I though I had enough background knowledge to understand how my future phone worked. Three days later I reveived the phone! I think that we all agree if I say that receiving your new phone is one of the best feelings ever. It's like entering a new chapter in your life! - Alright, I'm overreacting a bit, but I think you understand what I'm trying to say.

It was love at first sight when I opened the box. There he was, my new phone. I loved  the way it looked from the front. The back of my phone seemed a bit cheap to me because it was made out of thin plastic. But that didn't bug me for too long because I immediately thought about the fact that I was going to use a phonecase, so you wouldn't even see the back.
The first thing I noticed when I turned on my phone were the beautiful, bright colours on the screen. The colours were beautiful, altough they weren't realisitc because of their brightness. But I didn't mind, in fact I loved it. The second thing that amazed me was how fast my phone worked. My old phone used to work really slow and it really annoyed me sometimes. The next thing I remember was my friend stealing my phone and 'testing' the camera by taking pictures of me while I was looking annoyed, haha, but let's go back to the review. I had a good first impression.

After I downloaded all the apps I needed (WhatsApp, Instagram, Twiter etc.) the fun part began. The days that followed were pretty much me, not being able to stop using my phone. The S4 has loads of awesome functions. One of them are the sensors. Who needs hands to scroll? I can control it all by my head! Altough I love to play around with the sensors and try them out so now and then I think it's a little bit useless. The effort you put by moving your head is the same amount of effort you'd put by using your hands. But it's still fun to try out.

I use my phone for a lot of things, youtube is one of them. Grapefruitfriday consists of 2 people so when Sjoukje uploads the video I want to check it out immediately. My previous phone had a lot of trouble with YoutTube videos. It would play the video for 2 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds, and then play for another 2 seconds and stop for 10 seconds. It was driving me crazy. The fact that I can watch whole Scrubs episodes for hours without any trouble now, makes me really happy.
If you saw the introducing Samsung Galaxy S4 video, you must have noticed that the S4 has a lot of functions. Loads of awesome things I still need to try out. Actually I'm still exploring. I love to find out new functions by my self, but for now, all I have to say is that I really like my phone. I would definetely recommend it! Altough it's expensive I think it's not a waste of money. You pay a lot but you get a lot as well!

Thanks for reading this review. What phone do you have and do you recommend it? Have a nice day!

Natura Siberica Body Scrub

Good evening! Brands like Sephora and The Body Shop are brands we're all familiar with. 'Foreign' brands, like 'Natura Siberica', are brands you've probably never heard of. I have tested the brand's scrub today, and I must say that I'm rather enthousiastic.

This is what the body scrub looks like. Everything on the jar itself is in Russian, so I can not read it. The list of ingredients is in Russian and in English, which is positive. The scrub has a minty smell, it makes me feel rather fresh. When I used this product for the first time, I felt like having an allergic reaction (in a positive way), because I was getting goosebumps and I was getting cold, from only using the product. When I got used to this feeling, it felt really nice and 'clean', I felt rather fresh.

This is what the product looks like in the jar. It has an old-fashioned opening, which I love - it is innovative and really handy. When your hands are slippery from the water when taking a shower or a lovely bath, it is hard to open regular bottles. Your hands must be really slippery and greasy to not be able to open this jar. It contains 350ml which is a reasonable amount for a body scrub.

This is what the srub looks like when out of the jar. The scrub particles are the right size - they are not too big, nor too small. You do feel like using a scrub but it is not burning off your skin. This scrub won the award for 'Best Green Cosmetics' in the year 2012, which is a plus, because I'm a huge fan of green and 'good' cosmetics.

The brand 'Natura Siberica' was absolutely new for me. It is a brand which uses wild herbs and flowers for their products, and that is clearly visible from only smelling and using this product. It feels 'good' using it, it doesn't feel chemical or unnatural. I am very enthousiastic about this scrub and if you have the possibility, you should definetely go for it.

Pros:
- Not too expensive, around $14
- Nice texture
- Lovely smell
- Leaves you with a soft skin
- 350ml is not too little, not too much

Cons
- The minty smell can be a little bit too harsh for you, but I just loved it

I hope you liked my first review ever, I hope you all have a lovely day! -Sjoukje
